JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager in the day-to-day purchasing functions. The Purchasing Officer processes purchase indents and organizes system for follow up of pending supplies. He/she facilitates and administers purchase in the absence of the Purchase Manager after due approval has been obtained.
What you will be DOING:
· Prepare all the Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders process.
· To ensure the timely preparation of purchase order so that all approved purchase requests can be ordered and the goods delivered by the suppliers on the date needed.
· To assist any departments of the hotel in formulating their material requirements and to use competitive bidding or other approved procedures to obtain the best price.
· To keep track of all outstanding purchase orders to ensure that goods are delivered on time, in formalizing a monthly outstanding order report per department.
· Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
