The Product Management Specialist supports organization-level projects covering a broad spectrum of topics and/or responsibility areas as assigned by the Director or Department Head.
Projects undertaken may be related to managing tools and IT solutions for RC programmes. new disability services, enhancing current disability services and innovation for achieving RC’s vision of thriving and inclusive communities.
The post-holder must be a quick thinking and multi-skilled professional with great communication, collaboration and multi-tasking abilities.
Key Result Areas
Product Management
- Engage and influence stakeholders to analyse and document organisational and users’ needs, and write user stories and product feature requirements for enterprise applications (e.g. HR Management System, Finance and Accounting System, Client progress outcomes tracking system).
- Plan and prioritise product features backlog for development, testing and deployment
- Support the sourcing of, contracting with and managing relationships with software development and IT vendors to meet the requirements of the project
- Project manage the development of the software application, including leading the user acceptance testing and technical discussions with vendors to resolution.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and to lead in implementing changes (technical, functional and operational) with stakeholders.
Application Development
- Code Google Workspace apps to automate tasks with Google Apps Script so as to enable effective management of Google Drive files and extraction of data from Google Sheets for reports
- Document and maintain the codes
Product Management Operations
- Manage Product Management plans and activities in each phase of the project including risk mitigation, quarterly budget planning and reporting and vendor procurement activities
- Continuously improve product management operations processes in order to adapt to evolving organisation goals, project objectives and strategic shifts
Job Holder Requirements
- Minimum Degree/Diploma holder in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent work experience
- Using Google Apps Script to enhance Google Workspace apps
- At least 3 years working experience in product development in enterprise or consumer applications or 3 years in a social service agency implementing change management initiatives
- Experience in coding with JavaScript will be a plus
- Track record of volunteering or serving the community including with public or non-profit organisations will be a plus
