Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for our stewarding department. The incumbent will need to ensure that all areas of the kitchen and dining facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comply with regulatory standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations of the stewarding department, including dishwashing, sanitation, and inventory management.
- Ensure that the kitchen and service areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. The Stewarding Supervisor is to conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold standards.
- Implement environmental sustainability initiatives within the stewarding department to minimize waste and promote eco-friendly practices.
- Cultivate a strong people culture by investing in the coaching and development of team members. The incumbent will take ownership of people-management matters for the department including recruiting, upskilling and mentoring team members.
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a property of similar standing.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation and hygiene regulations, inclusive of knowledge on food safety regulations.
