1) EMERGING TALENTS PROGRAMME (ETP) COACH (SWIMMING)


Job Summary

Singapore Aquatics is seeking an energetic and forward-thinking individual to fill the role of ETP Coach. This role is vital to ensuring the seamless development of Singapore’s future National Swimmers while supporting the Technical Director and NTC Co-Lead Coaches. The ideal candidate will also work closely with the Technical Director and National Head Coach & Performance Director to design and implement the Emerging Talent Program, which includes national camps, clinics, and talent identification initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Emerging Talent Program (ETP):

· Work closely with the Technical Director and National Head Coach & Performance Director to design, plan, and execute the Emerging Talent Program (ETP) aimed at identifying and nurturing future national-level athletes.

· Organize and lead National Camps, Clinics, and talent identification events, focusing on bridging the gap between developmental squads and the National Team.

· Collaborate with Club Coaches and swimming clubs to ensure the ETP aligns with national objectives and performance standards.

· Develop and implement strategies for identifying emerging talent, creating pathways for their progression into elite squads.

· Assist in athlete development plans, focusing on long-term performance goals and holistic athlete growth.

· Liaise with parents, coaches, and regional development coordinators to ensure effective communication and athlete welfare.


Coaching:

· Provide on-deck coaching support for the NTC squads, assisting the NTC Co-Lead Coaches in daily training sessions.

· Assist in planning and preparing training programs, incorporating the latest in sports science and technical feedback to optimize athlete development.

· Assist in the development of YPI and Seasonal Plan for athletes and ensure their consistent application in training.

· Act as a liaison between the NTC Co-Lead Coaches and the wider coaching network, ensuring cohesion and continuity in athlete development.

· Support the logistical organization for national and international competitions, training camps, and events.


Key Qualifications and Experience

· A minimum of 3 years of coaching experience, preferably working with developmental or high-performance squads.

· Coaching qualifications (Singaporean or international) at Level 1 or equivalent; Level 3 preferred.

· Experience in organizing or leading talent identification programs, camps, or clinics is highly desirable.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and with external stakeholders, including parents and regional coaches.

· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate large-scale events such as camps and clinics.

· A passion for athlete development, with a clear understanding of long-term talent progression and high-performance coaching principles.

· Develop future champions: By identifying and nurturing emerging talent, you will ensure that Singapore’s athletes are on track for national and international success.

· Collaborative approach: Work closely with the Technical Director, National Head Coach & Performance Director, and NTC Co-Lead Coaches to ensure smooth integration of athletes into the national system.

· Innovative coaching: Implement cutting-edge techniques and strategies within both the ETP and NTC, fostering a high-performance culture from the grassroots to the elite level.
