Senior Project (Civil) Engineer
Civil projects - LTA, Road construction
- Responsible for advanced Planning, designing, integrating, installation, rigging and lifting equipment, including management of contractors and vendors
- Act on behalf Project Manager to play leadership role within project team, overseeing planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects.
- Responsible for supervising and assessing the set-up of all project components, manage all aspects of an engineering project, prepare schedules, communicate with clients, project progress.
- Resources (Manpower, Material & Machineries) planning, Relationship with clients and manage of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
Job Responsibilities :
Project Management:
You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to project completion. This includes defining project objectives, developing project plans, allocating resources, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget, actively involve in site and progress coordination, Method statement, submission and approval, monitor licenses, permits and compliances.
Technical Expertise:
As a senior project engineer, you are expected to possess a strong technical background in your field of expertise. You will apply your knowledge and experience to solve complex engineering problems, provide technical guidance to the project team, and make critical decisions regarding design, implementation, and testing.
Stakeholder Communication:
As a senior project engineer, you will act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal departments. You will communicate project updates, address concerns, manage expectations, and ensure effective collaboration between all parties involved.
Risk Management:
You will identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes conducting risk assessments, implementing risk mitigation plans, and monitoring risks throughout the project. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Budget and Cost Control:
You will be responsible for managing the project budget and controlling costs. This involves estimating project costs, tracking expenses, monitoring financial performance, and adjusting as necessary to ensure the project remains within the allocated budget.
Documentation and Reporting:
You will maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, engineering drawings, progress reports, and other relevant records. You will also prepare regular status reports and presentations for project stakeholders, providing updates on project milestones, risks, and overall performance.
Continuous Improvement:
As a senior project engineer, you will actively seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization. You will analyse project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
