1) NATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (NTC) SENIOR CO-LEAD COACH (SWIMMING)
Job Summary
Singapore Aquatics is seeking an experienced and dynamic NTC Senior Co-Lead Coach to lead one of our three main squads within the National Training Centre (NTC) Squad. The NTC Senior Co-Lead Coach will play a pivotal role in guiding elite and developing athletes, driving their preparation for national and international competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Olympics. The role requires reporting to the National Head Coach and working with a team of coaches to ensure that Singapore remains a strong competitor on the global stage.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the planning, preparation, and daily training programs for one of the three NTC Squad.
· Work closely with the National Head Coach & Performance Director to implement National Training strategies and ensure alignment with long-term performance goals.
· Provide hands-on coaching for NTC Squad athletes, fostering a high-performance culture.
· Collaborate with other coaches across Singapore’s training centres to ensure the holistic development of athletes.
· Incorporate cutting-edge sports science and medicine into training regimes, working alongside specialists to ensure athlete welfare and peak performance.
· Assist in the development and mentoring of coaches within the Singapore Aquatics network, contributing to national coaching education and development.
· Manage YPI and Seasonal plans to ensure performance of athletes competing in national and international competitions, ensuring adherence to Singapore Aquatics' policies.
Key Qualifications and Experience
· A minimum of 10 years of elite coaching experience with proven success in developing athletes for international competitions at World and Olympic Level.
· International or Singaporean coaching qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent.
· Demonstrated experience in high-performance swimming environments with a track record of achieving success in developing athletes.
· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team of coaches and support staff.
