Our client is a reputed IT Services Company
Responsibilities:
- Senior Consultant is responsible in Maintenance, Architecture performance tuning/ Disaster recovery / Failover support / Clustering / User Management / SAS Viya Architecture tunings, etc.
- Analyze and resolves problems associated with server hardware and applications software.
- ODIF & JIRA submission for VM server setup like OS I/C sever hardening etc
- Provide requirement and co-ordination to create file-system (DAS, SAN, GPFS, NFS), folders, permissions etc.
- Provide requirements and coordination to install apps like Change Management tool (Aldon), Scheduling tool (i.e., Control-M), Connect Direct setup, SFTP setup, Maria DB, Maria DB Client, sudo id setup etc.
- Duties include installing and maintaining the SAS Viya in existing big data platform.
- Monitors and tunes the SAS Viya software for optimal performance.
- Responsible in installation of new user accounts, creates batch administration scripts and runs systems backups and disaster recovery operations.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science or relavent field
- Min 10 years’ experience in App Infrastructure setup and management, analyzing, developing and implementation of various applications in SAS , Storage and Linux platforms
- Experience in Infrastructure planning design capacity planning and performance tuning
- 3+ years of experience working in a high volume SAS Viya Administration
- 7+ years of experience infrastructure support with Unix Linux Shell Scripting Administration Unix Linux system monitoring tools and technologies
- Experience in application hardware capacity requirements, need to engage with Build & Engineering team to setup the Virtual machine, Physical servers, for activities like cabling, hostname allocation, OS Installation & configuration with required CPU, Memory and storage requirements.
- Proficiency in windows Batch Scripting and BMC Control-M, Tivoli Scheduling.
- Knowledge on other scheduling applications like IBM Tivoli, Cron Jobs, SAS LSF, Windows Scheduled Tasks.
- Knowledge in Informatica / DataStage administration
- Knowledge in Hadoop Technologies (Spark and Pyspark)
- Certified in SAS is preferred
