At Flowerist, we specialize in creating beautiful floral arrangements that help our customers express love and emotion through the art of gifting flowers. We are looking for a dedicated and creative florist to join our team and assist with daily operations in our flower shop.
Job Responsibilities
As a florist at Flowerist, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Conditioning and Care of Flowers: Ensure flowers are properly conditioned upon arrival, including trimming stems, removing excess foliage, and hydrating them.
Maintain Floral Displays: Regularly change water in vases and display containers to ensure flowers remain fresh and vibrant.
Chiller Maintenance: Keep the flower chiller clean and organized, ensuring all flowers are stored at the appropriate temperature for freshness.
Bouquet Preparation: Assist in creating and arranging bouquets based on customer orders, ensuring designs are in line with Flowerist’s standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of flowers, foliage, and supplies, and assist with ordering and restocking as needed.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in-store and over the phone to discuss floral needs, budgets, and custom requests.
Store Cleanliness: Keep the workspace clean and tidy, including sweeping, organizing tools, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
Assist with Deliveries: Prepare and package floral arrangements for delivery and assist with loading as necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience in a florist is preferred.
A passion for flowers and creativity in bouquet arrangement.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Comfortable handling physical tasks, such as trimming flowers and lifting containers.
Great communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
