About the role:
We've just established our Singapore office and are looking for our founding SDR to join our sales team. Your primary responsibility is to generate and qualify leads, ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential customers, engaging with them, and nurturing relationships to create a pipeline of qualified opportunities for our sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong sales acumen, and a passion for building meaningful customer relationships. What you'll be doing
- Prospect and qualify potential leads through various channels, including but not limited to cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media platforms.
- Conduct thorough research to identify key decision-makers and target industries, tailoring outreach strategies accordingly.
- Engage with prospects to understand their business needs and effectively communicate the value of our products or services.
- Set up initial discovery calls for sales representatives.
- Meet or exceed assigned daily activity minimums and monthly activity quotas.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospects, interactions, and progress in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and the marketing team to develop and refine lead-generation strategies and campaigns.
- Continuously learn about industry trends, competitive landscape, and offerings to effectively position our solutions to prospects.
- Provide feedback and insights from prospect interactions to help improve marketing strategies and product offerings.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities for further nurturing and closing.
About you:
- You are curious and an active listener. You seek to understand prospects’ needs and challenges and respond accordingly.
- You are technologically adept with experience working with CRM and other sales engagement tools or have the aptitude to learn how to use them.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- You have strong time management skills and can prioritise tasks in a process-oriented way.
- You are coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback; you also focus on continuous improvement.
- You have grit and resilience, enabling you to endure setbacks and never retreat from challenges.
- You are a self-starter and a team player; you can work independently and enjoy collaborating with the sales team and sharing best practices.
- You thrive in a target-driven environment and are motivated by achieving and surpassing goals.
- You have at least 18 months of experience as an SDR or in a similar role, preferably in a B2B enterprise environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- A proven track record of being able to pitch to C-Suite executives and exceed your quotas
- Experience working for companies selling SaaS/PaaS or DaaS solutions is preferred.
- a knowledge of and/or understanding of the supply chain/textile manufacturing sector would be a huge plus.
- TFluent in English (written, reading and spoken). Fluency in Mandarin would be highly advantageous. (as would other regional languages.
