Our Client is a well-established company in Singapore to serve the semiconductor and electronics industries both local and globally.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to develop high-quality, maintainable software that meets user requirements.
- Draft functional and detailed design specifications.
- Interpret and identify design parameters based on client requirements, ensuring accurate, budget-compliant solutions to meet project timelines.
- Participate in control system requirement analysis.
- Design, create detailed electrical schematics drawings and updating.
- Source and select Electrical Components, prepare, and issue Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct software programming for PLC and HMI, system implementation, testing, and debugging.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to meet customer requirements and project schedules.
- Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- Analyze existing software to identify opportunities for modification and improvement.
- Keep to project schedules and resolve software and electrical issues in a timely manner
- Support remote and on-site troubleshooting support at customer sites.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automation/semiconductor industry (Senior positions offered based on qualifications/experience).
- Strong programming skills in PLC and HMI (preferably Omron and Mitsubishi PLC, Proface HMI).
- Experience with Motion Control, Analog, PID, and Process Control programming.
- Knowledge of high-end fieldbus communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, EIP).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge in SECS/GEM standards and implementation is preferred
- Willingness to travel for business on short notice when necessary.
