Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing of raw materials, supplies and PPE essentials for our food manufacturing plant. This role requires negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards with good communication skills.
This position entails a 5-day work week from 10 AM to 7 PM, with lunch provided and a mobile phone allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Execution:
- Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers and negotiating pricing.
- Execute purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies to support production needs.
- Handle suppliers' purchase orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensuring par levels for all raw materials.
Supplier Liaison:
- Liaise with suppliers through email and phone calls regarding delivery schedules and to maintain positive customer satisfaction.
- Receive supplier deliveries, manage complaints, and ensure effective communication for resolution.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, and supplier performance.
- Ensure all purchasing and sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
- Familiarity with CRM systems and operational software
Qualifications:
- Min Diploma in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
