Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching: Design and implement engaging pickleball training sessions for players of all ages and skill levels.
- Skill Development: Focus on teaching fundamental techniques, strategies, and game rules, ensuring players improve their skills and confidence.
- Personalized Instruction: Provide tailored coaching to individuals and groups, helping players set and achieve personal goals.
- Organize Events: Plan and facilitate pickleball clinics, workshops, and tournaments to promote participation and community engagement.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to players, encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork both on and off the court.
- Feedback: Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback to aid in skill improvement.
- Facility Representation: Represent our club at local tournaments and community events, promoting our programs and fostering relationships within the pickleball community.
- Administration: Expected to fulfill front desk duties during specified working hours.
- Safety Protocols: Ensure a safe playing environment by adhering to facility policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a pickleball coach or instructor, with a strong background in teaching and player development.
- Playing Achievements: Competitive experience at local, regional, or national levels. Accomplishments such as tournament wins or rankings will be considered an asset.
- Certifications: Certification from a recognized pickleball organization (e.g., PPR, PG etc.) is preferred. First Aid and CPR certification.
- Teaching Skills: Strong instructional skills with the ability to adapt coaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage groups, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to plan and execute training sessions, events, and player assessments.
