Safety Coordinator

Aztec Steel Pte. Ltd.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and control of occupational health & safety on site.

• Ensure that a safe and tidy working environment is maintained on site.

• Conduct regular site checking to ensure site staff and workers adherence to occupational health & safety regulations.

• Keep proper site occupational health & safety records.

• Involve in the investigation of all site incidents and accidents and recommending appropriate occupational health & safety measures to prevent their occurrence.

• Communicating company's occupational health & safety policy, objectives and procedures to all staff.

• Assisting sites to implement site occupational health & safety plans and safety promotion.

• Performing occupational health & safety audits on sites.

• Conducting periodic occupational health & safety training for site personnel.

• Maintaining company's occupational health & safety statistics and records.

• Liaising with Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Environment on occupational health & safety issues, application of factory permit and other safety statutory requirements for compliance by sites.

• Updating management on new and current occupational health & safety matters.

• Informing management of current site occupational health & safety environment on all project sites.

• Responsible to identify any unsafe workplace conditions.

• Recommend measure and remedy and implement measure.

• Review risk assessment submission by Contractors and ensure adequacy compliances.

• To identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice which is carried out in the worksite.

• Recommend to implement reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice.

• Ensure/ enforce adequate personal protective equipment for the effective implementation of the occupational health & safety for workers.

• Conduct sites safety and health meeting / toolbox meeting.



Requirements:

• Proven experience as safety coordinator with minimum of 2 years

• In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices

• Experience in implementing OSH training programs

• Proficient in MS Office

• Excellent communication and advisory skills

• Possesses Work-At-Height & other safety certificates are an added advantage

• Good interpersonal skills and a team player

• Able to work independently with positive attitude
