Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager - Accounting with expertise in tax matters to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in accounting and extensive experience with Singapore tax regulations, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring our tax matters are handled efficiently and in compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage tax compliance, including preparation and submission of CIT and GST returns.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax-related documents and reports in accordance with Singapore tax regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the company's tax position.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and resolve any issues.
- Maintain and update internal tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ACRA requirements.
- Prepare and review tax-related financial statements and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to address tax-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting with a strong focus on Singapore tax matters (CIT, GST, ACAP).
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certification such as CPA or CA is advantageous.
- Experience with tax advisory services and corporate tax.
