Our client is in the freight forwarding industry. As a Business Development Executive / Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of their services. You will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients, and collaborate with various teams to enhance our service offerings in the Singapore market.
- Identify and target new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.
- Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client interactions.
- Prepare and present proposals to potential clients, outlining service offerings, pricing, and logistics solutions tailored to their needs.
- Negotiate contract terms and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and transactions.
- Regularly prepare and present reports on account status.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the freight forwarding industry.
- Good knowledge of import/ export and general logistics process.
- Highly motivated and result driven individual.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- This role is will be for the Singapore Market with the exposure to India Market.
