The Director of Yield Technology – NAND will lead the Yield, Defect Inspection, and Metrology Engineering teams for accelerating Micron’s NAND technology development (TD) roadmap at its Singapore site which is the NAND center of Excellence.
This role will be reporting to the CVP, NAND PI and will be expected to be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Technology Execution – Explore and develop advanced technology capabilities to deliver industry differentiation and strategic advantage for NAND technology leadership. Lead and deliver NAND TD strategic road map.
Collaboration Excellence – Effectively partner with Integration and Process development teams in TD to deliver timely solutions.
Talent Development, Retention and Engagement – Develop internal leadership capabilities and technical expertise to enable a world class technical team. Actively build a team culture conducive to attracting and retaining the best technology employees in the world.
DEI – Foster an organization that embraces and leverages on Diversity, Equality & Inclusion and recognizes its contribution to a stronger team, embedding best practices in operations and hiring decisions
Support BIC Quality – Drives a culture of continuous improvement in the quality of solutions developed while supporting the demands of technology development.
Communication & Change Management – Enable and ensure real-time communication of defects and failure modes in pareto format to the relevant engineering groups and collaborate with engineering teams on continuous improvement plans (CIP) and problem solving. Provide regular updates to senior TD and MFG leadership.
Partner Support – Provide required support to the manufacturing sites receiving a transferred process, which includes accurate documentation and training of personnel to ensure successful technology transfer.
Budget Management – Efficient resource and budget management
University partnerships – Proactively build and strengthen university partnerships for talent pipelining and research collaboration opportunities.
Safety Advocate – Understand safety guidelines and ensure safety protocol is followed for all areas and meeting the priorities in accordance with site goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s or PhD degree in science or engineering disciplines
- At least 10 years proven leadership success as a Manager/ Director, with at least 3-5 years in technology Development highly preferred
- Recognized as an advocate for Micron Values and aligning to Micron’s Vision and Mission
- Strong organizational and technical skills with demonstrated successes in engagement with WW teams.
- Recognized as an excellent builder of high performing teams, mentor, motivator, technical expert and an active and impartial talent spotter, developer and leader
