My client is an established brand in its industry, keen to hire a confident, hands-on and agile Finance Leader to join as part of the company’s expansion plans. The successful candidate must have exposure in Retail business, able to support the company when it sets up new overseas entities and retail stores, handle cash flow management and evaluate franchise business model.
Requirements
- Retail/ B2C industry exposure, able to oversee full spectrum Finance
- Experience in setting up overseas entities
- Investor Relations experience in a listed company, ideally in the recent years
- Experience in M&A
- Exposure in supporting the set-up of new retail stores and/or establishing franchise arrangement can be helpful
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin as this role may work with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
- Experience in supporting the company in expanding to new markets can be helpful
- Traits: Hands-on, flexible, able to work with ambiguities, strategic, confident, able to work in a lean environment, able to front investors, banks and public, good communication skills
Budget
S$15,000 – S$20,000 per month + Bonus
Job Scope
Reporting to the Senior Executive Team and managing 1 direct report, you will oversee the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting activities. Responsibilities include monthly financial close processes, reporting, cashflow management, budgeting & forecasting, tax, treasury and audit. You will be responsible in ensuring compliance with statutory and GAAP requirements as well as to company accounting policies. You will also oversee corporate governance, internal control, and drive process improvement.
An important aspect is to handle Investor Relations, with an ability to deliver effective communication to investors about the company’s financial performance & strategies. You will build and maintain relationships with investors, present financial results, and respond to investors, media, analysts and bankers queries.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in driving KPI reporting and analysis to support business performance and expansion plans. You will support and provide advice on financial impacts, when setting up new overseas entities, and evaluate feasibility and ROI in setting up new retail stores and/or franchise arrangement.
The successful candidate is someone hands-on, confident, highly flexible and able to work in a lean and fast paced environment.
