About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software
Engineer at Zuno Carbon, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our web
applications. You will work and manage a team of Software Engineers using NuxtJS and Django
to create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions that drive our mission to combat climate
change.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the development lifecycle from planning and estimation to deployment and
maintenance. Coordinate with product managers and stakeholders to define project
requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and development.
Provide technical guidance, support, and feedback to help team members excel in their
roles.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software developers. Set technical
direction, best practices, and coding standards for frontend and backend development.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and intuitive user interfaces using NuxtJS.
• Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services using Django.
• Creating and maintaining scalable enterprise software architecture.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance the platform's capabilities.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software
engineering and climate tech.
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily
stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or
equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in web development using NuxtJS or VueJS for the front-end and
Django for the backend.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Vue.js or React).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.• Experience with modern enterprise software architecture.
• Experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team
environment.
