We are looking for a Quality & Assurance Executive for one of our international shipowner clients. The incumbent will ensure the effective implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards across fleet and office operations. He/she should have at least 2-3 years of experience in a QHSE role and a strong understanding of maritime operational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for ISM / SMS system including:
o Formulation & Review of SMS system.
o Implementation of current or/and revised Policy/Procedure.
o Promote a proactive safety culture across.
· Assist in conduct of internal audits and prepare vessels and offices for external audits by flag authorities and classification societies.
· Responsible for vessel & office evaluation pertaining to SMS implementation.
· Responsible for implementation of current/new regulations / guidelines.
· Responsible for managing KPIs assigned to Marine division of Ship management.
· Lead or participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
· Maintain accurate records of QHSE performance indicators and coordinate initiatives to improve the QHSE management system.
· Lead change management initiatives focus on QHSE improvements and innovations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Maritime or a related field (or equivalent maritime qualification).
· Preferably at least 2-3 years’ experience in a QHSE role.
· Extensive knowledge of ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other relevant maritime regulations.
· Familiarity with incident investigation techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, HAZID/HAZOP).
· Strong understanding of maritime operational and regulatory requirements.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite and QHSE management systems.
· Willingness to provide emergency response support outside normal working hours.
