The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for expanding the company's renewable biofuel feedstock origination within Asian markets. The position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in renewable feedstock and project management.
Role Summary
- Lead the sale and distribution of biofuel feedstocks within the Asian market, with a primary focus on Southeast Asia, and surrounding regions, while also exploring opportunities in international markets.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of the biofuel market, including supply and demand dynamics, price movements, and regulatory factors.
- Identify and evaluate potential trading opportunities based on market analysis and forecast trends.
- Trade biofuel feedstock and end-products to existing and new clients.
- Identify and develop new biofuel products such as bio-bunker fuel, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
- Develop and implement effective hedging strategies to mitigate risks associated with biofuel trading activities.
- Monitor market trends, price movements, and competitor activities in the raw material markets for biodiesel production, providing insights to optimize trading strategies.
- Manage trading risks by staying informed on geopolitical, economic, and regulatory factors that may impact the biofuel feedstock supply chain.
- Collaborate with logistics, legal, and finance teams to ensure the smooth execution of contracts and trade deals. Act as a liaison between the company's internal teams to ensure alignment with broader corporate goals.
- Maintain accurate records of trades, positions, and market data to track performance and support reporting requirements.
- Build partnerships beyond the Asian market to expand the company’s reach in the international trade of biofuel feedstocks, leveraging internal selling experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve trading models, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate trading strategies, performance, and recommendations Undertake any other duties as required by reporting manager.
