Job Description: The Metal Recycling Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our metal recycling operations. This includes identifying and handling various types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, managing the purchase and sale of scrap metal, and coordinating the import and export processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of metal recycling practices and experience in building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, classify, and process ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.
- Manage the purchasing, sales, and trading of scrap metal, ensuring profitability.
- Oversee import and export logistics for scrap metal shipments, including customs regulations and compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
- Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing and sales decisions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with the operations team to optimize processing.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of recycling staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the metal recycling industry, with specific expertise in identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Strong understanding of purchasing and sales strategies for scrap metals.
- Knowledge of import and export processes, including customs regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
