PLC/PLS/Robotics Engineer/Technician

On behalf of CTS Asia Pacific, we are looking for a PLC/Robotics Engineer!


While this role is customer-facing, in addition to the customer, work tightly together with the Project Manager, and other project team members as required to support each other in our close-knit team.


The preferred educational background in one of more of the following Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronic/Electrical Engineering from a local institution in Singapore. We welcome ITE graduates, but expect you to show 3-5 years relevant experience. For Diploma holders, 2-3 years; and for Degree holders, 1-2 years experience is expected. Training will be provided!


What are you expected to do?
- Project planning of automation solutions for industrial manufacturing plants
- Simulation of the process plant
- Software creation (e.g. robots, safety controls or HMI)
- Integrating drives and robots into the machine
- Commissioning of the machine with the software created for process testing in-house, and start-up support for the customer

What should you bring with you for this application?
- Good to have: Relevant experience and knowledge in Siemens PLC.
- Points of contact in the programming of controls (e.g. Simatic S7, TIA, PCS7, B&R, Beckhoff etc.)
- Creating user interfaces and/or drive technology is desirable but not a must
- Enjoy holistic project processing and an agile way of working
- Interest in technical challenges and robots


Do note that we are on the lookout for key members who can work independently and responsibly in a local team with collaboration from HQ in Germany.


It should also be exciting for you to know that training opportunities are ample in Singapore, and exchange abroad are available; in the future, projects scope will expand regionally too.
