The Space Management Manager (BIM/CAD Department) will oversee the efficient allocation and utilization of drawings within the drafting department.
This role involves coordinating with various teams of engineers and drafters to optimize workspace, manage resources, and enhance productivity.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in space planning and management.
Duties to Be Performed:
- Space Planning: Develop and implement space management strategies that maximize the effective use of drafting resources and facilities.
- Resource Allocation: Monitor and allocate drafting resources, ensuring that all teams have access to necessary tools and equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand space requirements for current and future projects.
- Data Analysis: Analyze space usage data and develop reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all space and resource allocations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in space management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of space management specialists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Job / Skills Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Facility Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in space management, drafting, or facility planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software and space management tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a leadership role within a drafting or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in space planning and management.
- Able to Travel/ Relocate
