Responsibilities:
- Write scripts to validate that the code meets technical and functional specifications.
- Regularly interact with business customers to address technical needs and provide support.
- Drive the design and architecture of the system, preparing for new technical implementations (hardware, platforms, product deployments).
- Provide third-level support for server operations, including managing incidents, requests, change orders, and root cause analyses (RCAs).
- Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and conduct data collection for system reporting.
- Participate in planning future Z Series engineering services and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Application Development Teams to manage access and performance in both production and development mainframe environments.
- Document standard operating procedures, reviewing security access rules to ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop an understanding of required activities for executing application support functions.
- Contribute to audits in collaboration with the Application Support Manager/Lead.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in UNIX and Linux internals.
- Expertise in shell scripting to automate tasks and validate code.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive production environment.
- Strong communication skills for effectively exchanging information with customers and colleagues.
- Analytical skills to solve medium-complexity tasks.
