JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Executive/Product Specialist is primarily responsible for securing product sales in Singapore, servicing and engaging the customers. The job holder also provides in-service training to users of products purchased by the customers and attend to clinical cases in the operating theatres.
CRITICAL WORK FUNCTIONS & KEY TASKS
Business Development and Sales
- Continually service and engage existing customers to (i) support them, (ii) understand their evolving needs, (iii) secure additional sales and (iv) develop them as advocates for the Company or products.
- Network and source for prospects and interest them to try using the Company’s products and take follow up actions with the aim to secure sales.
- Conduct Demonstration, product set-up and hands on experience
- Source for RFPs, prepare and submit tender documents timely and accurately. Thereafter, follow up with paperwork and dealing the purchasing department of the hospital/clinic and other stakeholders such as the doctors and nursing manager.
- Monitor and analyse the sales performance of products and take follow up actions.
- Profile the customers to better understand their needs and potential and develop a plan to grow the accounts.
- Develop and maintain Reference Centres
- Scan the operating environment, keep up with developments in the medical equipment space and competitors’ activities to identify business opportunities.
Services and Support to Customers
- Provide post-sales support and services to customers including getting their surgical and nursing personnel to be trained on the features and usage of the equipment.
- Train the users of the product personally when necessary
- Attend to cases in the operating theatre personally for new clients
Others
- Perform other assignments and projects as assigned by the management
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree, preferably in science, bio-medical science, nursing or engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing/selling
