Responsibilities

The Regional IT Project Delivery Senior Manager is responsible for the delivery of complex regional IT projects spanning across multiple countries, from original concept, through IT solution definition and design to final implementation. Partnering closely with IT Customer Solutions Manager on innovative, multi-country pursuits while acting as the implementation and project delivery arm for the region, this role interfaces with all areas affected by the program including executive levels. The successful applicant will direct program strategy and objectives, responsible for detailed project plans, charter, roadmap, program estimates, resource plans, and status reports. This role will take charge of scheduling of regular project meetings, program tracking and analysis while providing IT thought leadership and continuous improvement for overall IT delivery performance and building a regular cadence for project comms to key stakeholders including country/cluster CIOs, Regional Office and Business.


Responsibilities

  • Delivery of a program of projects and change across the region on time, as per requirements and budget, while driving process improvement in project delivery and change management
  • Provide regular visibility and stakeholder status updates related to all program
  • Regularly review the status of all projects within the program and ensure that all issues and risks associated with scope, resource, timelines and budget are effectively managed, escalating timely where deemed necessary
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of quality solutions, across all defined measurement metrics, within the program of work
  • Accountable for the effective customer and stakeholder communications and management within their respective program of work
  • Coordinate and ensure that all changes follow the standard Change Request approval process
  • Review and ensure all changes follow the defined Change process and all projects follow the defined project delivery process
  • Review and ensure adequate level of resource allocation to deliver multiple demand pipelines
  • Anticipate budgeting or resourcing issues across countries and escalate to leadership for support in a timely manner to avoid delays
  • Ensure their teams adherence to DHL Group methodologies and governance mandates
  • Support IT senior management with management information and presentations.
  • Facilitate and ensure the efficient and effective resolution of escalations
  • Drives and influences multiple teams without formal authority
  • Operate regionally in diverse environments and cultures
  • Manage key stakeholders across regional BD, SD and country/cluster CIOs


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the Supply Chain/ Logistics industry, with 3+ years of experience in IT project management in complex cross-functional organization
  • Degree in technology/business management
  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations, demonstrable planning and estimating skills and experience in requirements gathering and definition
  • Good understanding of multiple technologies (ego RDBMS, Cloud Computing / SaaS, Mobile , SOA, UI, Integration, SQL, .NET platform, Java, Open Source, Web services)
  • Strong Knowledge of S/W development lifecycle and support
  • Ability to integrate the solution to domains/standards and best practices
  • Proven ability to drive consensus in a matrix organisation, successfully delivering multi-quarter projects
  • Excellent communication in verbal and written English (tailored to all levels and audiences)
  • Strong influencing skills to negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder management, time management and prioritization
  • Able to assess risk from both technical and business view-point
