About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated estimator to manage detailed pricing and take-offs for a variety of projects, from small modifications to major bids. This role involves conducting site surveys, engaging with clients and suppliers, and ensuring clarity in project scopes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to interpret and expand client briefs, facilitating the creation of suitable bids.
  • Develop and implement standard processes to efficiently handle a high volume of bids.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors across Europe, Asia, and the US to secure the best pricing and terms for AVTEL.
  • Participate in and lead group-wide bid processes as needed.
  • Perform detailed take-offs and measurements for all aspects of security projects to respond effectively to bid inquiries.
  • Attend sales meetings to set priorities and support team members in maintaining momentum in the bidding process.
  • Lead formal bid activities when tendering for projects, coordinating with the lead salesperson to establish key priorities.
  • Collaborate with other AVTEL Group entities in Asia to create bids for global customers.

Who You Are

  • You possess knowledge of Integrated Electronic Security Systems like CCTVs, Alarm Systems, etc
  • You have relevant working experience in the Electronic Security industry
  • Working knowledge of pricing jobs in the international market especially EMEA and APAC regions
  • Advanced MS excel skills are required
  • Strong Commercial Acumen
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Strong team member, collaborator with go-getter attitude

The candidate will require a working knowledge of the following systems:

  • Lenel Access Control: A strong knowledge of Lenel hardware and software configurations.
  • CCTV: knowledge of both IP and Analogue CCTV systems including the use of network video recorders and software.
  • Integrated Systems: Experience with major integrated Access Control/CCTV/Intruder systems/Perimeter detection systems that are fully integrated.
  • Intruder Alarms: Basic competency in measurement and pricing intruder alarms.
  • Service: You will have a good working knowledge of service in the security industry and shall be able to price various service solutions.
  • Advanced MS excel skills will be required.
  • Awareness of commercial business terms and conditions commonly adopted within the security industry.
  • You will have a working knowledge of pricing jobs in the APAC market.
