We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support our Medical Social Worker team at St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (Aljunied) on a 6-month contract basis. The role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure efficient operations within the medical social work department, contributing to the well-being and care of our residents.


Responsibilities:

Documentation and Records Management:

  • Maintain accurate and organized client records and files in compliance with nursing home policies and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and updating resident care plans and related documentation.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of resident information.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Coordinate appointments and meetings for the medical social worker, residents, and their families.

Communication and Correspondence:

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them appropriately.
  • Draft and distribute communications, memos, and announcements to residents and staff.

Data Entry and Reporting:

  • Input resident data into electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in generating reports and compiling data for analysis as required by the medical social worker.

Support Services:

  • Assist in preparing materials for presentations, resident meetings, and family conferences.
  • Maintain inventory of office and medical supplies, ensuring availability for resident care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (at least 1 year) in administrative support roles, preferably in healthcare or nursing home settings.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Gmail). Knowledge in any electronic health records (EHR) systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
