Our Client:
Our client is a leading Japanese Chemical company. They are looking for an Executive/ Senior Executive, Group Finance to join their Singapore office.
The Responsibilities:
- To compile and submit budgets and forecasts for the Asia Pacific business in cooperation with the relevant departments. Also, to compile and submit monthly performance results
- To analyse sales and costs, efficiency, such as ROIC. To identify the causes of variances and problems. To report the results to the supervisor and management.
- Periodic reporting to the head office in Japan
- To manage the Singapore company and subsidiaries in Southeast Asia managed by the holding company (Singapore)
- To compute and derive the value of investment using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method
- To perform cash flow planning
- To respond to external inquiries (e.g., auditors, banks, etc.)
- To manage transfer pricing arrangements
- To champion process improvement initiatives
- To manage and train the subordinates
- To lead, motivate and develop the finance team
- To perform any ad hoc tasks assigned
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting roles
- Proficiency in management accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work independently and able to work under pressure
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills and be an effective team member with cooperative attitude
- Possess positive attitude to work and good time management skills
- Proficiency in Japanese language to smoothly and effectively communicate and present to Japanese HQ counterparts
- Knowledge of JOX will be an added value.
