Position: Operations Network Engineer
Location: Tanjong Pagar
Working Hours: 8 hours rotating shifts
Job Overview:
The Operations Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining optimal network performance and security. Key duties include monitoring alerts, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with various departments to resolve any identified problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely monitoring and escalation of alerts.
- Troubleshoot and oversee network activity.
- Isolate and diagnose faults, escalating to higher-level support when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address network issues.
- Proactively monitor data center network systems and connectivity to ensure availability and prevent downtime, coordinating resolutions with vendors or second-level support teams.
- Log and submit problem management records, assigning to the appropriate parties as per guidelines.
- Adhere to physical security protocols.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting on network switches and configure devices.
- Understand customer concerns, maintaining trust and managing expectations effectively.
- Ability to configure switches at height as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Knowledge of network devices.
- CCNA certification is required.
- Experience in data center operations or a related area.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work from height
