Job Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of EIT will oversee and lead the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunications department, ensuring that all EIT systems in projects across the oil and gas industry are designed, implemented, and maintained at the highest standards. This position requires leadership in managing large-scale projects, strong technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the EIT department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives in oil and gas projects, including FPSO, offshore platforms, and onshore facilities.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of all EIT-related engineering work, ensuring compliance with international standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the department’s budget, resources, and personnel, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation to meet project timelines and goals.
- Establish, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency, productivity, and quality of the EIT engineering team.
- Work closely with project management, procurement, and operations teams to integrate EIT systems with other project components, ensuring smooth collaboration and project execution.
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced technologies and innovative practices in EIT systems to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
- Ensure all EIT systems meet HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines and minimize operational risks through robust design and implementation strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to industry standards.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to EIT engineers and staff, building a high-performing and technically skilled team.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in EIT systems, incorporating them into the company’s projects and operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in EIT roles, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership or management position within the oil and gas industry.
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing EIT systems in offshore and onshore projects, including FPSO and other marine assets.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and related safety regulations.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for working with senior management, external partners, and diverse teams.
