Project Management
- Resolve both technical and non-technical issues related to project execution.
- Ensure effective tracking and monitoring of items such as Variation Orders, Material Testing, and Specialist Architectural Items.
- Assist the Project Manager in verifying monthly progress claims and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Support the preparation of monthly progress reports in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Responsible for the submission and monitoring of technical drawings, method statements, and project proposals.
- Ensure that supervisors and chargehands meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct short-term planning to align with site progress.
- Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and coordination.
- Coordinate, program, and monitor site work, materials, plant, and equipment to meet project goals.
- Resolve on-site issues with subcontractors and ensure smooth project flow.
- Align project objectives with company goals to ensure consistency and performance.
Project Budget Control
- Control material usage to minimize wastage on site.
- Maximize the efficiency and utilization of machinery and equipment.
- Reduce utility consumption on-site to manage costs effectively.
- Manage direct workforce allocation, including controlling overtime and headcount for efficient operations.
- Implement cost-effective and productive construction methods without compromising quality.
- Ensure project progress aligns with financial targets to meet intended cash flow objectives.
Technical Understanding
- Possess a thorough understanding of project drawings and the overall scope of work.
- Evaluate technical decisions to meet project objectives and contribute to value engineering solutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge in preparing engineering project proposals and method statements.
- Provide technical expertise and advice for project planning, design, and supervision.
Coordination and Communication
- Oversee and coordinate all technical activities for assigned projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Participate in client and contractor site meetings to monitor installation processes and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among disciplines and project participants, resolving any site issues that hinder progress.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project tasks, ensuring compliance with authority standards and deliverables.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, highlighting any changes in design or architectural plans that may incur additional costs or affect progress.
- Prepare and review project proposals, schedules, and deliverables, as delegated by the Project Manager.
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure that construction works meet the desired quality standards and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with the company’s ISO system.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure smooth and timely progress while maintaining safety and quality standards.
