Warehouse Logistic Assistant

Spa Menu Pte. Ltd.

Warehouse Logistics Job Description

  • Inventory Management: One of the primary responsibilities of a warehouse assistant is to manage inventory. This involves keeping track of all the items in the warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and conducting regular inventory checks. Warehouse assistants must be familiar with inventory management systems and have the ability to accurately record data. Proper inventory management helps prevent stock shortages and overstocking, ensuring that the warehouse operates smoothly.
  • Order Fulfilment: Fulfilling customer orders is another key responsibility of a warehouse assistant. This process involves picking and packing items according to the order specifications, labelling them correctly, and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as errors in order fulfilment can lead to customer dissatisfaction and increased return rates. Warehouse assistants must be able to work quickly and accurately to meet order deadlines.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Warehouse assistants are also responsible for handling the shipping and receiving of goods. This includes inspecting incoming shipments to ensure that they are correct and undamaged, and processing outgoing shipments to customers. The shipping and receiving process requires coordination with other departments and external carriers to ensure that deliveries are made on time. Warehouse assistants must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Warehouse Organization and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse is another important duty of a warehouse assistant. This involves arranging items in their proper locations, ensuring that the warehouse is free of hazards, and following safety protocols. A well-organised warehouse not only improves efficiency but also reduces the risk of accidents. Warehouse assistants must be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and taking action to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
