Product Finance Head

Moi International (singapore) Pte. Ltd.

We are hiring a Product Finance Head ("PFH") for one of our Agri Trading vertical. This role will be a strategic partner to the business, providing financial stewardship and analytical insights to drive growth. Responsibilities include evaluating operational processes, supporting planning and forecasting and conducting asset and operational control reviews. You will also be responsible for business support in overseas subsidiaries through implementing sound business controls and operational practices. As the PFH, you will oversee complex fiscal reporting activities across regions, assess risks, and manage multiple time zones, including travel to underdeveloped countries.


I. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

(a) Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Lead and oversee statutory, tax, and management reporting for the relevant business division and units.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports, while maintaining proper accounting, bookkeeping, and system processes.
  • Establish and enforce standardized regional controls for Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit reviews within the region.
  • Monitor and ensure timely implementation of audit finding remediation plans, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with banking covenants/regulations, streamline processes, and finance managers cultivate positive relationships with banking partners to enhance financial efficiency for overseas units.
  • Manage budgeting, planning, and forecasting activities, including evaluation of budget utilization and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for reporting efficiencies and drive automation.
  • Facilitate cost management for the business division and provide visibility on expenses.
  • Build strong relationships with Group Function Managers in areas such as Risk, Legal, Finance, and IT.

(b) Internal Control and Governance

  • Supporting division HQ and overseas units to improve profitability through implementation of robust financial controls and operational practices.
  • Ensuring effective internal controls over the division HQ and entities operations to ensure assets protection and operational oversight.
  • Developing and improving internal controls and processes to ensure financial integrity and business assurance.
  • Providing inputs, feedback and support for risk assurance in HQ and country operations to Risk team
  • Monitoring and driving credit limits and inventory controls.

(c) Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Identify opportunities for financial optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
  • Analyse forward P & L and Mark to market ensure & support value maximization initiatives (interest, Trade Finance, currency management, capital returns improvement etc)
  • Collaborate with trading team to address business goals, initiatives, and projects, including operation improvement, ROI evaluation, and project modelling.
  • Provides high-quality financial analysis and commentary for regular business performance reviews to support senior management in decision making.
  • Take a hands-on approach to resolving issues and exploring new opportunities, influencing others along the way.

(d) People Management

  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees to develop and maintain a motivated finance team.
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise jobs to ensure effective performance.
  • Facilitate training and information sharing within for financial and internal control matters.
  • Provide financial leadership and strategic thinking to support sustainable value creation.
  • Ensure constant development of team members' professional and technical knowledge through structured trainings and workshops.
  • Promote GROUP values and create an environment that supports compliance, performance, engagement, and adaptability.

II. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

(i) Education background/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounts or its equivalent - ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent certification.

(ii) Working experience:

  • 15 years working experience, including 10 years in commodity sector with cross-border dealings.
  • Preference for candidates having some Developing countries’ local exposures including forex
  • Successfully led and managed teams at both the headquarters and regional business unit levels.

(iii) Skills:

  • Proven track record in strong Finance leadership, preferably in a multi-site, multi-Business Unit environment.
  • Familiarity with commodity and foreign exchange volatility.
  • Strong hands-on experience in inventory and debtors controls etc.
  • Demonstrated evidence of strategic thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Efficient self-organization skills for high-level multitasking.
  • Ability to deliver under highly time-sensitive situations.
  • Hands-on approach, willing to dive into details and prioritize compliance and data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in complex, highly matrixed environments.
