Duties/Responsibilities
Policy and Regulation Maintenance
· Implement and enforce policies/procedure in accordance to the corporate safety polices/procedures.
· Ensure safety policies are kept up-to-date, meets the latest standards, and establish new ones when required
· Supports in all the OSHA, Environmental & GGBS audits
Site Safety Inspection
· Conducts safety inspections on sites to determine if hazards are present and to establish procedures and policies to overcome such hazardous situations.
· Conducts safety inspections on machineries in compliance to regulatory requirements
· Monitor for broken equipment, defective tools, and other potential hazards.
· Advised the type of personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed
· Ensure the workers know how to operate and use tools and equipment.
Accident Investigation
· Ensure proper safety procedures are documented and are carried out at site
· Conduct safety investigation to determine root causes, gather evidence and prepare incidence reports when needed
· Document findings and recommendations that should be followed to prevent the accident from happening again.
· Verify that injury reports are submitted to related government agencies
Record Keeping
· Responsible for reviewing safety standard keeping of safety records
Safety Training
· Provide training to employees on safety issues as required by OSHA. These include fire prevention plans, machine guarding, and hazardous materials handling.
