Job Description
- Assist the company to achieve the Company Safety Policy, Target and Objectives
- Support WSH Officer in management of WSH programme and promote awareness to all stakeholders
- Carry out daily site inspection and ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Proactively identify hazards (unsafe work condition and practice) and offer solutions to prevent incident in a daily routine task.
- Perform as Safety Assessor and sign Permit-To-Work (PTW) system with relevant checklist for the compliance
- Work out Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP), Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and etc together with the team and conduct review periodically
- Verify and confirm RA, checklist, and SWP is conducted and communicated to the workforce
- Coordinate WSH related activities with other project teams within the department
- Maintain all safety documentation and records on site. Responsible for project safety audit and external audit.
- Responsible in facilitating the daily TBM with project Supervisors and accident or EHSS non-compliance investigation with relevant stakeholders
- Responsible to facilitate in the accident/incident investigation report with Project Engineers for submission and monthly safety report for management’s review
- Participate in periodic site inspection, site audit, safety time-out and monthly safety committee meetings
- Responsible for continual improvement on WSH matters at project and department level
- Assist and coordinate with professionals (PE or LEW) for machinery and electrical appliances
- Responsible in Covid-19 Safe Management Measures plan and ensure effectiveness of implementation on site if any
- Liaise and follow up with the relevant stakeholders (including authority agencies) on EHSS matter
- Other relevant duties as may be assigned by WSH Officer & Managers.
Requirements
- Attain mandatory and competent in WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, with 2 years post competency EHSS related experience.
- Level B Cert must be 2 years and above with experience as a WSH Coordinator
- Have safety experience in geotechnical engineering field
- Proficient in handling emails and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a good command of English
- Responsible, accountable, work well in a team and has good communication skills with all levels of employees.
- MUST have own personal transport, at least a motorcycle.
