Senior Software Engineer

You will be a member of the project development team under the IT Applications Development Hub. You will be involved in driving the creation of innovative enterprise solutions as per evolving business needs for the line divisions on ServiceNow as part of the end-to-end agile development lifecycle for in-house projects starting from UI/ UX Design to Cloud Engineering & Operations, Software Development, DevSecOps, Quality Assurance and Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work with Digital Business Analysts as they engage the Product Owner and stakeholders to sense make and produce the business and functional requirements as part of requirements gathering
2. Work with UI/ UX Designer as they engage the Product Owner and stakeholders for user research to produce the User Journey Maps and high-fidelity wireframes, which feeds into development sprints
3. Create and customise Service Portals, Themes, Pages, Widgets, Menus and Search Sources on the ServiceNow Platform
4. Develop on ServiceNow using scripts, business rules, workflows, web services etc
5. Integrate ServiceNow with existing enterprise systems where required
6. Loading and maintaining data between ServiceNow and integrated systems using import sets
7. Perform Administration of ServiceNow modules and applications, which include CMDB, Accounts, Service Request/ Catalog Management, Knowledge Management, Self-Service Portal, Dashboard and Reporting etc
8. Create and run automated functional tests using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) where applicable
9. Work with DevSecOps Engineer to employ CI/CD pipelines as part of DevSecOps to continuously iterate and improve existing software based on stakeholder’s feedback, where applicable
10. Work with QA Engineer to prepare test cases as well as entry and exit criteria for SIT and UAT to ensure that user requirements are met as described per product backlog
11. Work with Application Security Engineer to perform System Security Acceptance Test (SSAT), which includes Secure Code Review (SCR), Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Penetration Test (PT) and remediate the security findings before seeking clearance and approval from CISO and CIO respectively
12. Maintain and update library of reusable APIs, components and modules
13. Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects

Requirements

1. At least 6 years of hands-on experience on ServiceNow (Service Portal and ITSM) is required
2. Solid grasp of API, JSON, MID Servers and associated technologies that can integrate with ServiceNow
3. Highly proficient in programming languages such as HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, AngularJS, Bootstrap or other relevant programming languages
4. Participated in at least one full software or product development cycle, preferably using Agile Methodology
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Teamwork and collaboration skills
7. Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
