Job Descriptions:
- To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;
- To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other in charge of the workplace reasonably practicable measures and safe work procedures to contol & mitigate such risks to prevent incident occurrences;
- To assist in implementing & reviewing such measures or safe work procedures to prevent workplace accidents;
- To investigate any incidents/accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence;
- To work closely with the relevant authorities on safety, health and environmental matters;
- To administer and implement an effective Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparation for third-party external EHS audits;
- Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety Audits as per requirements;
- Making certain that all ordinances or orders bearing on occupational safety and health and environmental are complied with the governing laws;
- To prepare and conduct the EHS trainings for all employees which are identified in RA and SWP;
- Measure and monitor the WSH performance of the project and discuss WSH performance in the WSH committee meetings and recommend areas for improvement;
- Perform ECO and ECMO duties as assigned; and
- Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.
Job Requirements:
- Possess at least a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace safety and health (WSH)-related and certificate in ECO;
- At least 3 years of work experience relevant to the Civil & Infrastructure works to be carried out by a WSHO cum ECO; and
- MOM registered WSH Officer and NEA registered ECO + PUB registered ECMO.
