Job Description:
As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell products or services to potential customers. You will be working in a diverse environment, often located in retail shops situated on the ground floor of Housing and Development Board (HDB) buildings. This role demands flexibility, as it may require you to work on weekends and public holidays, taking into account the convenience of potential customers during their free time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Customer Service:Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Present and demonstrate products or services to potential customers.
Provide detailed information about product features, benefits, and pricing.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections effectively.
2. Product Knowledge:Stay informed about the features and benefits of the products or services you are selling.
Keep up-to-date with product updates and changes.
Be able to answer questions and provide accurate information to customers.
3. Environment Management:Adapt to non-air-conditioned environments, as some retail spaces may not be climate-controlled.
Ensure that the retail space is well-organized and presentable.
4. Working on Weekends and Public Holidays:Be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays, as these are often the busiest times for retail sales.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate these work hours.
5. Sales Targets:Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company.
Work proactively to achieve and surpass sales goals.
6. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of sales transactions.
Prepare and submit daily or periodic sales reports to your supervisor.
7. Team Collaboration:Collaborate with colleagues and team members to create a positive working environment.
Assist with inventory management and restocking when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training in sales or marketing is a plus.
· Previous sales or customer service experience is advantageous.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent customer service and negotiation abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
· Resilience to adapt to non-air-conditioned conditions and be willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of meeting sales targets.
· Basic computer skills for maintaining sales records and reports.
