We are seeking a knowledgeable WSH Coordinator with a strong background in electrical safety to ensure the health and safety standards are upheld on-site. The successful candidate will advise project stakeholders on safety measures and monitor the overall safety performance of the project. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying unsafe conditions and recommending corrective actions to promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise occupiers, project managers, engineers, and other personnel on safety and health measures to be implemented on-site.
- Provide guidance on compliance with local and national health and safety regulations.
- Monitor the overall safety performance of the project, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze safety performance trends and data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present safety performance reports to management, highlighting trends and areas of concern.
- Recommend corrective actions to address identified safety issues and implement improvements.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure that corrective measures are executed effectively.
- Conduct safety training and workshops for site personnel to promote a culture of safety.
- Develop and distribute safety materials and resources to enhance awareness of safety practices.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Maintain records of safety incidents and report to management as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields.
- Proven experience in a safety role within the construction or electrical industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and procedures.
- Proficient in safety monitoring and reporting software.
