A new and exciting Fund Accounting/Management (6 months contract) position for a large financial services firm in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting for investment funds, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Prepare and review periodic financial statements for the funds in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant standards.
- Maintain the general ledger and all supporting documents related to fund investments, fees, and investor distributions.
- Ensure proper recording of capital calls, distributions, management fees, and carried interest allocations.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or investment management, preferably in private equity, hedge funds, or real estate funds.
- Experience with GAAP, IFRS, and/or other relevant accounting standards for funds.
- Experience working with various fund structures, including limited partnerships, private equity, hedge funds, and SPVs.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, investor allocations, and fund accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and reporting tools (e.g., Investran, eFront, Geneva, or similar).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
