Job Summary:
The Senior Interior Designer will work closely with the Project Director and design/FF&E team and be responsible for all design phases from concept development to visualisation, documentation and site implementation.
Job description:
- Responsible for all design phases from concept to site supervision
- Work closely with the Project lead, design and FF&E team
- Coordinate with operator, relevant consultants and contractors during all project stages
- Coordinate with drafting teams to produce fully coordinated tender documentation packages
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet given deadlines
- Attend site meetings and factory inspections to check compliance to design and assist in providing solutions to site issues
- Mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experience designing interiors of hotels in South East Asia and China
- Experience in handling hospitality and residential projects in all design phases from concept to site implementation
- Experience in designing for various hotel brands and understanding the specific needs required by operators
- Strong in space planning and able to assist in concept development
- Coordinate with the 3d visualization team to create realistic renderings reflecting the design intent
- Strong in design detailing and freehand sketching
- Good understanding of site work and implementation
- Strong communication skills
- Thorough understanding of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
- Knowledge of Sketchup will be a plus
- Proficient in CAD standards and organization of drawing packages
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to understand drawings and design
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable to work independently
- Team player with a positive attitude
