General Purpose of Position:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to oversee the shelter’s facility's daily operations and resident management. The candidate should have a strong background in social services, excellent supervisory skills, good communication skills, and a deep commitment to helping those in need.
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the shelter’s facilities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Manage and supervise the operation staff.
- Develop and implement shelter policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with external agencies and service providers.
- Manage shelter budgets and financial resources.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide staff training and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage resident intake and discharge processes.
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the shelter.
- Oversee the resident’s development programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and briefings.
- Monitor and evaluate shelter vendor’s services.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships.
- Advocate for the needs of shelter residents.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Participate in fundraising and grant writing activities.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in shelter management.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
