- Provide daily operational support and documentation, leveraging experience in freight forwarding.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
- Identify problems, gather and analyze data, interpret results, and validate findings as needed to meet business requirements.
- Perform process mapping and draft work instructions, SOPs, and SOWs.
- Oversee freight operations for all shipment modes (air, sea FCL/LCL, rail, road, and multimodal) for both imports and exports.
- Manage various freight operations, including bookings, pre-alert creation, preparation of shipping documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Delivery Orders), handling letters of credit, and permit declarations, as well as shipment tracking.
- Lead and manage exception handling, including dangerous goods (DG) and out-of-gauge cargo.
- Monitor and provide updates on customers' shipment statuses.
- Ensure accurate invoicing for customers and from vendors.
- Maintain proper records for timely reporting and filing.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Business Development, Finance, Contract Logistics) on work-related matters.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders (POL, POD, offices, agents, transporters, carriers, co-loaders, and customers).
- Support ad-hoc tasks, new requests, and new customer requirements as needed.
- Develop business solutions based on data analysis, identifying root causes or gaps, and providing cost-benefit recommendations for decision-making.
