Principal Scientist for Advanced Photonics and Flat Optics Process Integration
The candidate will take the lead for the development of advanced photonics and flat optics integration. This could include but not limited as photonic integration, photonic heterogeneous integration, multi-layered flat optics integration, electro-photonics integration, etc., with various materials. The candidate will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary and high-industry driven team involving photonics, semiconductor process, and fab operation.
Responsibilities:
- Development of various photonics integration process with 8-inch and 12-inch fabrication facilities, including such as photonics heterogenous integration and flat optics integration.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) for both design and process margin checking and process control.
- Baseline integration process development and standardization for both photonics heterogenous integration and flat optics integration.
- Lead the inline defect analysis and process DOE towards yield improvement.
- Lead the inline process metrology data taking and analysis, device / circuit performance data taking.
- Data analysis and documentation.
- Preparation of technical presentations and papers for internal meetings, as well as conferences and journals.
- Collaborate with project team to ensure quality and on-time delivery for various projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Integrated Photonics, Opto-electronics, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on experience in CMOS or Photonics integration.
- Minimum 10 years working experience on commercial foundries or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years project and team management skill.
- Strong communication, industry awareness, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong self-motivation and interest in the next-generation advanced photonics technology and product development.
