Join Our Team as a Trade Operations Coordinator (Import/Export)!
We are seeking an experienced Export/Import Coordinator to manage complex shipping and documentation processes. This position will start off as a 3 months contract with a high chance to convert to permanent based on performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle full set of import/export, letters of credit, and banking documents for shipments/customers, including smelters and ICW.
- Prepare accurate shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, Certification of Origin, Marine Insurance, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and forwarding agents to ensure efficient cargo delivery.
- Communicate directly with shipping lines regarding draft BL, BL amendments, and master BL security printing.
- Calculate pricing for hedge contracts to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Review documents for compliance with sales terms, L/C terms, and customer requirements.
- Follow up on deposits/LC issuance to confirm required payments prior to shipment.
- Ensure the title of goods is transferred based on payment terms.
- Provide timely information to customers regarding documentation and operational inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as traders and fixation, to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Offer guidance to Customer Service Specialists as needed.
- Serve as a backup for Team Leads in their absence.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by the team leader.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in export/import coordination or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and regulations.
- Prior experience in handling Letter of Credit, full set of export shipping docs, familiar with Incoterms
- 2-3 years in shipping, capable of handling high-volume orders, preferably past experience working in commodities company
- Experience using BSM & SAP Hana
