Job description
The National University Health System Virtual Care Centre (NUHS VCC) is an initiative where trained personnel provides tele-triage to patients and/or their caregivers. VCC will either provide advice and resolve the clinical question or escalate to the VCC clinician where appropriate. To facilitate the development and evaluation of VCC at NUHS a research team has been established. This team is now looking for a research assistant/associate with experience of conducting research projects to join the group. The successful candidate will support research fellow on the evaluation of VCC.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing research-related tasks.
- Assist in recruiting and coordinating research participants
- Help with data entry, cleaning, and management
- Assist in collecting and analysing data from various sources
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings
- Assist in developing research papers, reports, and presentations
- Maintain accurate and organized records of research data and findings
Secondary Duties
- Attend VCC-related meetings
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting officer/HOD.
Job Requirements
- Master and/or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social sciences, psychology, biology)
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in hospital research is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Experience of applying for ethical review would be an advantage
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical research standard.
- Driven and motivated, with potential to achieve research excellence.
- Ability to generate experimental results leading to high impact publications.
- Multi-lingual preferable
