- Application monitoring solution responsibilities
- Define and implement in coordination with the build team the needed application monitoring solution. Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams.
- Support overnight batches that take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize downtime.
- Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.
- Incidents and Requests management (business users and others IT teams)
- Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to business users (trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office analyst, market data administrator, …)
- Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests.
- Problem management
- Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team.
- Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long term solution.
- Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to continuous improvement by writing and maintaining programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications on the application monitoring systems avoiding repetitive tasks and reducing manual effort.
- Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, shell scripting, and other basic programming languages to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Leveraging on AI analytical model for log analysis and performance troubleshooting incident
- The Application Support Programmer should have a pro-active mind-set in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.
Must have :
- Understanding of Capital Markets Domain and Capital Market FO/BO systems
- Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)
- Appetite for continuous improvement and automation.
- Knowledge in Middleware tools – MQ, Kafka, CFT and Control-M.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell script, PowerShell, SQL/PL SQL…)
- Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
- Knowledge on CI/CD & DevOps tools - Jenkins, GIT, SVN, Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Knowledge of monitoring solutions (E.g. ITRS Geneos, Elastic Search, Kibana)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English writing and speaking
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Self-motivated and excellent team player.
- Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management.
- ITIL training / certification
