The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Project Officer. This Project Officer position is available for an initial contract of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting literature review
- Carrying out research related activities assigned by Principal Investigator
- Disseminating the outcomes of research in peer-reviewed journals
- Report preparation and data management
- Designing and conducting experiments
- Analyzing and communication of experimental results
- Train graduate and undergraduate students.
- Maintenance of key instruments.
- Administrative duties such as purchase of chemicals and consumables, coordination of collaborations, and presentations of research progress.
Job Requirements:
- A B.Sc. in Chemistry with a strong research experience in the field of organometallic chemistry
- Experienced in manipulation of extremely air/moisture sensitive compounds via Schlenk line technique as well as experienced in operation and maintenence of glove box.
- Proficient in synthesis and characterization of organometallic species.
- Familiar in various characterization techniques such as NMR, HPLC, MS etc especially for organometallic and transition metal species.
