Senior Engineer, Design Electrical
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead technical assignments for electrical hardware product design and development.
- Design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electromechanical devices, components, or systems.
- Develop initial concepts and participate in detailed product design.
- Create original hardware, circuits, components, software, processes, and models.
- Participate in design reviews, providing DFM and DFA inputs.
- Prepare and release engineering drawings/schematics and communicate with vendors.
- ECO release of engineering documentation.
- Design AC/DC power distribution systems, PCBA, and components.
- Develop, test, and document designs.
- Estimate product/project requirements (power consumption, weight, size, schedule).
- Coordinate with manufacturing during pilot/production runs.
- Interface with customers to understand technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including on-site support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Marketing, Service, QA).
- Assist engineering management in developing schedules and specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree + 6 years' experience / Master's Degree + 3 years' experience in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (motion, temperature measurement, PID loops, safety interlock circuits)
- Experience with dynamic electromechanical system design
- Proficient in Orcad, Autocad, PCAD, Solidworks, or similar 3D CAD software
- Design knowledge of NFPA, Semi Safety Requirements, and Machine safety
